We enjoyed the spot! Had a pleasant weekend lunch. Their smash burger with cheese (cheese is $1.50 extra) was tasty! Aesthetically it was excellent but the beef patties definitely lacked seasoning to bring it to the next level. I question if the burger is truly worth ~$20 (with cheese). Regardless of price, I’d still recommend it! We also enjoyed the friend cauliflower which was great and came with a creamy verde sauce on the base. We’d order it again!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Sunny Hill in Ballard Memorial Day weekend! My wife and I were taking a walk (we live in Greenwood) and decided to take a break for an early dinner. After a short wait we were seated outside on the patio, which had a lively neighborhood vibe. The service was top-notch. Our waitress, Lila, was wonderful—incredibly personable, sweet, and friendly. She really made our evening visit special. The drinks were delicious right out of the gate. My wife loved her cocktail (seasonal) and my Vesper was perfectly crafted. For starters, we ordered both of their salad options; wife’s choice, the snap pea arugula salad and the gem Bibb with radishes, Parmesan and anchovy crumb that I had were incredibly fresh and flavorful. As for the pizza—wow! We ordered the round "Punk Rock Girl" pie and I am seriously still thinking about it. Nobody makes a better pie, the crust, the char, and the flavor balance were pure perfection. We look forward to our return to try their Detroit-style square pizzas next!

Super fun restaurant and very accommodating. We waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday Night for a table for 2. The food was great! We started with the Crunchy Cauliflower, the flavor was super good with a spicy kick, I loved it. The pizza was also perfect cooked with great flavors. The crust was crispy on the bottom but not overcooked. Funky crime was a great combo of potato and mushroom, while the punk rock girl had awesome pesto with a creaminess from the stracciatella.

If you’re looking for one of the best pizza spots in Seattle, you have to try Sunny Hill. The pizza is absolutely incredible — perfectly crispy crust, high-quality ingredients, and creative flavor combinations that somehow still feel comforting and classic. Their Detroit-style pies are outstanding with those crispy caramelized edges, and the round pies are just as impressive. The hot honey pairing takes everything to another level. What really makes the place special is the overall experience. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, the staff is genuinely friendly, and you can tell there’s real attention to detail in everything coming out of the kitchen. The waffle fries and black garlic ranch are also a must-order. Sunny Hill feels like the kind of neighborhood restaurant every city wishes it had — casual enough for a weeknight dinner, but good enough to become your go-to spot whenever friends visit Seattle. Easily one of the top pizza experiences in the city

Excellent pizza! We got a square pie with a side of hot honey and ranch. It was fast and definitely among the best pizza in the city. We can’t wait to go back and try another pie from Sunny Hill! The service was great too.
